The Miyazu Lantern Nagashi Fireworks Festival, which is held every year on August 16, is a major event that gorgeously colors Miyazu summer.
The large fireworks that color the night sky are launched from the sea, and you can enjoy a powerful sight as if the sea and the sky are united. The contrast between colorful fireworks and the light reflected on the surface of the water is a superb view suitable for the summer climax.

In the “Lantern sink”, which is held prior to the launch, countless lights gently float in the sea along with the “Seireisen” handmade by local people, wrapped in a fantastic atmosphere. The scenery woven by the gorgeousness of fireworks and the gentle light of lanterns creates a special moment that cannot be tasted elsewhere.

It is a summer tradition of Miyazu, which is visited by about 70,000 tourists every year.
